Notes from Pastor James

Cedar Ridge Family,

I greet you in the Lovely name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  I can never thank God enough for the wondrous blessings he continually bestows on  his people and for all the answered prayers we have witnessed.  At Cedar Ridge over the past year and in particular, the last couple of months, we have truly witnessed the hand of God move!  Thank God we have been blessed to see many souls saved, lives changed, and families renewed and 16 souls (YES 16!) go into the river to be baptized.  What an awesome God we Serve!  To HIM be ALL the Glory!

As we draw near to the close of summer and head toward the fall of the year, let’s keep our focus steadfast on HIM!  Our greatest desire should always remain to see the lost saved or Christian walk renewed day by day and the light shining from the house of God becoming brighter and brighter as every day passes.  I am so thankful for a church and the people who attend that desire the true word of God!  Not the watered down soft-soaped, feel good religion, but he infallible, holy, spirit-inspired true Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The Bible teaches us if our lost are to be saved, they must be begotten by the word of God!  Nothing can be substituted nor does anything ever take its place.  The word of God is forever settled in Heaven!  It will never be changed or altered.  He said what he meant and he meant what he said!  (Hebrews 4: 12, 14) 12 For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:  but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

With this in mind, let us (all) continue to trust and obey his word.  Let us (all) pray fervently for the lost and each other. Let us (all) work diligently as though it were our final day on Earth!  One day…one day… it will, and it may be sooner than we think!!  There will be no time to get ready; therefore, we must be READY!!!

PS  JESUS IS COMING SOON!!!

Love,

Pastor James
